Over 100 people in flats near Letterkenny town centre are living beside a growing dump.
Piles of rubbish have been piling up in recent weeks in part of the car park by the River View apartments complex.
While there were difficulties gaining access during the snow, concern is now mounting about the possible health implications.
One resident told the Post: “The rubbish is causing a major problem and is going to attract rats. It must be removed.”
A spokesman for Letterkenny Town Council confirmed that it is “in discussions with all the relevant parties” and that “negotiations are on-going.”
