Harps look forward

In the past fortnight the Finn Harps sub-committee, mandated at the AGM to examine the club’s structures and strategy, met with representatives from the FAI and also with the club’s board.
The sub-committee has extended its thanks to the FAI for its assistance and its commitment doing to help the club throughout the process of reform.
A statement added: “We would like to commend the club board on its willingness to engage with the process and its commitment to accept the findings.
“Already consultations have taken place with several other senior football clubs on both sides of the border, with the club’s off-field employees and submissions invited and reviewed from fans.
“The next steps will involve casting the net wider and consulting with all stakeholders in the club’s future. Sponsors, media, shareholders, junior and intermediate football and supporters clubs will be among those given the opportunity to have their say,” it continued.
Once this is complete, the review committee will work towards the finalisation of a structure which will enable the club to best fulfill its huge potential.
The aim is to present this to the club’s shareholders in the early autumn.
While the time-span agreed at the AGM has already been exceeded, the sub-committee feels it is very important to make the process as inclusive and comprehensive as possible.
