Eunan’s relish Cross challenge

St Eunan’s manager Eamon O’Boyle says his players are relishing the challenge of taking on Crossmaglen Rangers in their Ulster Championship semi-final (Sunday 2.30pm, Enniskillen).

The three-times All-Ireland Club champions are a formidable outfit but the Letterkenny boss says that his players should view the game as an opportunity to show how good a team they are.
“Crossmaglen’s record speaks for itself they are the ideal that every club in Ulster and Ireland they are the model that every club in Ulster and Ireland aspires to be. But the fact is that if you want to be the best you have to go out and beat the best,” he said.
O’Boyle is well aware that Donegal clubs have a less than impressive record in the Ulster Club Championship but reckons there’d be no better way of putting that to rest than by defeating the mighty Armagh Champions
“Well if you are going to try and change the record of Donegal clubs and put us on the map of Ulster Club football there’d be no better way to do it than by defeating Crossmaglen.
“After we beat Clonoe we knew that the chances were that we’d be playing Crossmaglen. Everybody expected them to beat St Patrick’s and although they put up a good show that’ss exactly what happened. We know it’s going to take a massive effort from us to get past them,” he said.
