Chilling after their win

It was a case of putting the celebrations on ice for the St Eunan’s GAA team when they visited Mac’s Hydrotherapy in Letterkenny after their championship victory over St Michael’s at the weekend.
The reigning champions visited the hydrotherapy cold spa in the Aura Leisure Centre on Monday after the match and also used it in the build-up to the match.
The state-of-the-art cold spa is designed to aid recovery after training or competition and is one of the few of its kind in Ireland. As well as improving recovery, it also works to target injuries or strains with its combination of cold temperatures and salt solutions.
The spa, which is run by Kevin McDonnell and his son Stephen, has proved to be lucky for those who have used it so far.
Members of the Tyrone side that demolished Dublin in last weekend’s All-Ireland Football Championship visited the spa in the run up to their barn-storming victory. The likes of Brian McGuigan and Brian Dooher used the ECB (Equine Cold Bath), which is four times colder than the sea.
Fans of Finn Harps will be hoping that good things come in threes as several of the team have been availing of the treatment. With a relegation six-pointer against Cobh on Friday, fans will be hoping that whatever Kevin is putting in the water can work its magic once again.
