Letterkenny is set to dawn its dancing shoes again at the end of this month with the return of the phenomenal Riverdance show to the Aura Leisure Centre.
Selling out fast, the show will run for three nights from May 22nd to the 25th, with a matinee on the last day, for the second time since the Aura Complex opened last year.
Speaking ahead of their performances this week, lead dancers Pauric Moyles and Melissa Convery were in good spirits about their return to Letterkenny and we’re adamant that audiences could expect the same great show.
For first timer to the town Pauric, the show will be business as usual, as he has been with the company for over 10 years.
“It’s always great going to a new place and Letterkenny to me is somewhere new,” Pauric told the Letterkenny Post.
“The basis of the show hasn’t changed and it’s still the same concrete show that it was in day one. We have changed costumes and lighting and a couple of little numbers here and there but it’s still the phenomenon it was.
“I don’t think you can get the same feeling from any other show than you do from Riverdance, because there’s so much energy in it,” the Irish American said.
Closer to home, Banbridge native and leading lady Melissa beamed about coming back to Letterkenny and assured that last year’s successful and praised standard will be kept.
“The pressure is on that we keep the same standard and we will,” the blonde beauty stated.
“We just hope that everyone coming to see it is looking forward to it. Aura is a gorgeous place also, fantastic venue and it was great for us last year to have the bigger stage, from what we are used to in theatres and it’s something different to look forward to.”
Tickets for Riverdance are €54.50 and are available from Music Centre Letterkenny, Books and Charts Dungloe, Kellys Mace Strabane, C&A McGinley Buncrana, Bayview Hotel Killybegs, Melody Maker Donegal Town and Cool Discs Derry.
